The Cow Dining Room Restaurant Review:
It’s very Notting Hill at The Cow Dining Room, with its crowded downstairs bar and posh first-floor dining room with modern art prints. A consistently good, staple gastropub meal begins with pâté maison or soup of the day and moves on to the likes of chicken Kiev or the fish stew. Seafood is a strong point, from oysters washed down with a pint of Guinness to be really Irish, to groaning seafood platters. The venture belongs to Tom Conran (Sir Terence's son), who moves between the pub, his diner and first-rate deli nearby. The clientele is fashionably scruffy and laid back. 2-course menu (upstairs only) Mon.-Thurs. £15 and £16.
