The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar Restaurant Review: Custom artwork and a centerpiece 600-gallon aquarium that’s home to live cowfish create this restaurant’s unique environment. Asian standards such as crab Rangoon and moo shu lettuce wraps with chicken or tofu in portions made for sharing shape the appetizer offerings. Better to go for the blackened ahi nachos for starters. A sushi bar with computer monitors lets you build your own sushi rolls. The star of the menu is the burger-sushi fusion section, with “Burgushi” options that marry typical burger components with non-traditional ingredients served sushi style. Can’t decide? Try a bento box featuring both a mini-burger and sushi. For dessert, the apple pie wontons, flash fried and complemented by sweet caramel dipping sauce, are the star. An array of craft beers, wines by the glass and interesting signature cocktails provide plenty of quaffing interest. Even the restrooms keep in theme, projecting interesting sayings recited in both a Southern drawl and Japanese. Need a lift at evening's end? Call for The Cowfish bus at no charge; just tip the driver.
