Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Restaurant Review

: When you’re on the road, Cracker Barrel is a safe bet for food like mama used to make: big plates of biscuits and gravy, homemade dumplings, collard greens, meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Food snobs will find it hard to imagine Cracker Barrel as a place to go for a good meal. But if you're looking for comfort food, it’s hard to beat this chain, known to anybody who regularly travels interstate highways. Get the day off to a hearty beginning with the Old Timer’s breakfast: two eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy, hash brown casserole and sausage, ham or bacon. For lunch or dinner, the chicken and dumplings and country fried steak are traditional Southern favorites. Looking for something a bit healthy? The grilled chicken tenderloin is quite tasty. For dessert? Don't miss the chocolate cobbler.
