Craftbar Restaurant Review

: The sibling restaurant to Craft is a more pleasant and less-maddening experience for diners looking for an informal meal. Featuring a seasonal menu, many of the same ingredients and concepts from Craft are available at Craftbar, just without the pomp and circumstance. From snacks like shishito peppers with lime to appetizers such as marinated Montauk squid, the menu is whimsical and appealing. Instead of creating a meal à la carte like diners do at Craft, Craftbar offers a greatest hits list of pre-selected items: Skuna Bay salmon comes paired with cauliflower and smoked pearl onions. True, with a bigger interior and more of a central location, Craftbar feels like another notch in Tom Colicchio’s belt and less of an experimental zone, but that doesn’t keep it from creating a wholly enjoyable dining experience.
