But this trendy place, particularly popular with young downtown Brickell business folks and residents, offers an expansive outdoor terrace with million-bucks Biscayne Bay views and global food at student-budget prices; all entrées cost either $15.75 or $19.95 and come with a free appetizer. Recommended starters include creamy-centered Serrano ham croquetas or a substantial Chihuahua cheese casserole with pesto and chorizo, while among entrées, Thai-marinated grilled flatiron steak (cooked medium-rare as requested, and accompanied by crisp shoestring fries) and a fresh-tasting tuna carpaccio with seaweed salad stand out. Simple but fun desserts like mojito jello add just a few dollars to the bill. Another pleasant surprise: the old-world/new-world wine list is admirably comprehensive, with sophisticated Spanish and Italian selections for upscale diners and serviceable house bargains for budgeters. |
