THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Creek Restaurant Review: Conical lamps along the walls and hanging from the ceiling cast a soft, warm glow over the long bar with parquet detailing and dark leather banquettes. Beyond this front bar area is the dining room, where stained glassed windows and white-clothed tables complete the restaurant’s unassuming and inviting atmosphere. The New American cuisine with fusion accents includes smoked trout with potato pancakes and horseradish sour cream, and grilled asparagus with extra virgin olive oil in a balsamic reduction. Entrées similarly are simple preparations that preserve natural flavors, like the roasted free-range chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and gravy, and the grilled rack of lamb with potato-leek gratin, carrots and green beans in a rosemary sauce. The wine list spans the globe and offers a few nice selections by the glass.
