THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Creme de la Crepe Restaurant Review:
Part of a small chain that began in the South Bay (and was founded by Frenchmen despite its corporate-sounding name), this is a small eatery just off one of Old Pasadena’s pedestrian alleyways. Charming but cramped, with wooden bistro tables and a small wine bar, the casual eatery offers an endless assortment of savory and sweet crêpes, plus much more. The Austerlitz is filled with pork tenderloin, onion and peppers in a blue cheese sauce, while the Vendôme features chicken breast, bacon, potato and mushroom in Cognac-black pepper sauce. You can start with escargots, fondue or a cheese-and-charcuterie plate before tucking into chicken in Dijon mustard sauce or entrecôte with Roquefort sauce for a more substantial meal. And to finish, consider a crêpe with Nutella, mango and vanilla ice cream or a host of other sugary options. In addition to crêpes, omelets and eggs Benedict are offered for breakfast.
