Crepe Du Jour Restaurant Review: If you can’t work a visit to Paris into your weekend plans, a trip to Mt. Washington might be just the ticket. With its sunny butternut walls and French poster art, cozy Crêpe Du Jour provides a lift to the spirits whatever the season, and the moderately priced menu of Parisian bistro classics might make you homesick for the Left Bank. Almost three dozen savory and sweet crêpes are available, bearing evocative names and folded (not rolled) around such fillings as asparagus, prosciutto and Brie (Lorraine), imported pork sausage and mushrooms in cream sauce (Toulousaine) and caramelized apples and ice cream (St. Germain). This being Baltimore, the seafood crêpe, with its generous portion of lump crab, is especially popular. Non-crêpe choices include several styles of mussels, garlicky escargots with tomatoes, hanger steak with frites, and fresh green salads with a light, mustardy house dressing. There’s a year-round heated terrace, and in warm weather you can claim a sidewalk café table for neighborhood people-watching.
