THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cuba Cafe Restaurant Review:

Diners who don't look carefully might miss the entrance to Cuba Café, but finding it means stepping into Little Havana. Tropical print tablecloths, Caribbean paintings and discreet lighting create a secluded ambience perfect for margaritas with fresh squeezed lime juice. Start with the fritas mixtas, a combination of crispy fried shrimp and calamari with a Creole enchilada sauce or perhaps the empanadas sampler---small pockets of pastry filled with ropa vieja (shredded beef), shrimp and chicken. Main courses blend sweet and spicy: short ribs are glazed with a guava sauce and served with yuca fries and garlic mojo; vieras Hemingway is pan-seared sea scallops in a chipotle and saffron broth with black bean rice. Desserts include a traditional Cuban cake made with three types of milk or homemade coconut flan served in a coconut shell.
