Cuchi Cuchi Restaurant Review: Cuchi Cuchi offers an international hodge-podge of a menu in a fun eclectic space, all thrown together by owners Barbara Dollar, Tamara Bourso and Fernanda da Silva for the sake of good times. Start out with a Hoochi Cuchi cocktail of muddled sage, rosemary, gin, elderflower and pomegranate before kicking off a varied potluck of small plates (just don’t call them tapas). The menu is divided into categories like Waterfront, Game and Unclassified, and offers such odd bedfellows as white gazpacho from Spain, a scallop ceviche shot from Panama, and a beef short rib Cuban cigar. Pair a grappa, port or international coffee with a Cornucopia pizzelle cone filled with fruit and topped with whipped cream. Beyond the 40-foot-long bar, the dining rooms reflect shabby chic, abounding in Victorian tiles, stained glass and antiques, with Middle Eastern accents thrown in for good measure. Waits are long, though a few potent cocktails make the lines seem shorter.
