Much of the menu at Cucina! Cucina! is created for sharing and passing around the table. They make thin-crusted wood fire pizzas with toppings such as spicy duck, wild mushroom stromboli or artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan and roasted red peppers. Pastas arrive thickly, and sometimes strangely, sauced. Try the penne al Anitra (roasted cured duck, prosciutto, shiitakes, veal stock, oven-dried tomatoes and a touch of cream) or the version with woodsy mushrooms. There are plenty of grilled items, salads (Asian chicken and chopped are our favorites), paninis and more. The wine list is cheap and not very Italian. This is a place to bring the kids and also feel like a kid again yourself dining under the bicycles and other whimsical decorative devices in these colorful, cacophonous Italian cafés. After a day of mall shopping, head over for the bargain happy hour, which fills up the bar quickly.
