Set in a quiet residential neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of busy downtown Montclair, CulinAriane mines the flavors of Italy, France and Asia. Owned by Top Chef season 5 contestant Ariane Duarte and her pastry chef husband Michael, the restaurant has earned a vast following for its fare as well as fame for dishes such as cornmeal-crusted oysters served with horseradish cream and braised beef short ribs with celery knob purée. Although a bit pricey, it’s a BYOB, so there’s a great savings there.
