Cunetto doesn't take reservations for dinner, but that doesn't stop the crowds who invariably exit carrying leftovers. First courses include the ubiquitous toasted (read: deep-fried) ravioli and fine fried eggplant. Naturally, there's an array of pastas, among them some designated as heart-healthy. Those may not have been on the menu in 1974 when the place opened, but plenty of the other dishes on the lengthy menu were. Macaroni, pleasantly al dente, might appear with garlic, olive oil and anchovies. Red clam sauce holds a hefty amount of clams, garlic and red pepper, but it is poured over linguine with unnecessary generosity. Additional entrées range from beef and veal to chicken and fish. Standard desserts are available---but who has room?
