Curry Mantra Restaurant Review:

This tiny Fairfax Indian eatery draws in big crowds, especially at lunch to take advantage of the generous buffet, lined with assorted meat and seafood curries, rice dishes, lentils, vegetarian offerings and a few sweets for dessert. Staff will bring along ample baskets of bread, should you go the buffet route. But you can always opt for dishes from the menu, available at lunch and dinner, such as chicken chettinad (chicken cooked in South Indian spices), goat mantra (goat in a curry sauce), and balti gosht (lamb with ginger, garlic and spices). Whatever your decision, you will not be disappointed by the kitchen’s hard work. Note, too, that the chef offers a daily special, proclaiming that his curry of the day cannot be enjoyed at any other area Indian restaurant. The dessert menu is limited, and as for beverages, you can accompany your meal with either wine or beer, or a good version of mango lassi. Other locations.
