D Bar San Diego Restaurant Review: "Drinks, Dining and Desserts" is the self-proclaimed focus at D Bar San Diego. Start with bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with almonds and manchego or "When Pigs Fly!," which are crispy smoked pork drumsticks served with a miso-sesame barbecue sauce and vegetables. Entrées range from a pizza salad sandwich to lobster risotto to a pork porterhouse accompanied by potato salad, rainbow chard and a cherry barbecue sauce. Chocolate lava cake is among desserts. Guests can take a seat in the open dining room or indulge at the dessert bar. Afternoon tea is also quite festive, with finger sandwiches, scones and pastry bites. Even some of the drinks mimic dessert --- we recommend the salted caramel martini with Stoli Salted Karamel, Stoli vanilla and cream.
