Once noted for its California-influenced “spa” cuisine, Dalesio's’ menu is more conventionally Italian these days, but the restaurant, on Little Italy’s fringes, is still something special. The look is Victorian --- romantic but very comfortable; casual dress is encouraged in these pretty, intimate rooms. Specialties include such Northern Italian classics as veal saltimbocca, as well as fresh seafood dishes. There’s no children’s menu, but the attentive and accommodating staff will have the kitchen whip up something especially for them on request. A first-rate roster of wines by the glass is available.
