If you don't mind eating cattle-car style with a few hundred other diners, you can share in a bargain-basement deal. The lunch special makes up for shortcomings in atmosphere and graciousness: before 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, feast on a barbecue chicken sandwich, french fries and coleslaw for 6.99. The take-out menu includes family-size specials of baby-back ribs, honey-basted chicken, and hefty half-pound burgers. Don't expect down-home authenticity, but the portions are generous and kids are welcome.
