| When the first D'Amico & Sons opened up we said to ourselves: now this is what we've been waiting for. Bread and desserts are baked every day, and the pasta, pizzas and salads are startlingly fresh. One bite into its artichoke hearts marinated with red onion, red bell peppers, olive oil and the signature pink Champagne vinegar and you'll find yourself wishing other restaurants would stop by and take a lesson in making a simple dish sing. Focaccia sandwiches come wrapped in butcher's paper and stuffed with roast beef, smoked turkey or grilled vegetables, while pizzas and pastas come with standard toppings such as sun-dried tomatoes and kalamata olives. D'Amico & Sons also offers take-out but be warned: once you're hooked on the chocolate-mascarpone torte you might not visit the grocery store for weeks. Other locations. |
