D'Amico's Ristorante Restaurant Review: For most of its many years, D'Amico's was known as Tom's, a popular bar and grill that was a landmark in this blue collar town. Owners have come and gone over the years but now the grandchildren of original owner Tom Moreno have taken it back, done it over and reopened the place as an Italian bistro that is family-friendly. An extensive variety of beers and wines are served in the totally renovated space that includes a lounge area and family dining room. The D'Amicos tap family recipes to fill the menu. Tomato sauce is a staple, made from scratch and simmered for hours to naturally nudge the sweetness out of the luscious red fruit. Pizza crust is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with topping choices including fresh vegetables or homemade beef meatballs. Entrées include grilled pork tenderloin and a butternut squash polenta. |
