d'Bronx Restaurant Review: Skilled pizza masters twirl and toss dough high above their heads before slapping on toppings and sliding the pies into room-size ovens. Sold by the slice and whole, there’s even a whopper size that feeds 30. But there are other goodies at d’Bronx; the lengthy menu plays host to dozens of subs, sandwiches, calzones, salads, soups and desserts as well. On the short list of local must-haves: Irv’s favorite, made with corned beef, salami, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard and horseradish on rye. Feed the sweet tooth a slice of carrot cake, pecan pie or deep-dish apple pie with a walnut streusel topping.
