One of four cafés run by the owners of SoHo's ultra-chic gourmet food store, this bright, airy eatery features soups, sandwiches, salads, pastries and coffee, and does a brisk lunch business with Rockefeller Center execs. Dean & Deluca uses impeccable ingredients, and even the simplest sandwich can be elevated by dense, chewy breads and top-quality meats and cheeses. Most of the business here is take-out, but tables on two levels offer a pleasant spot to grab a quick bite or have a leisurely cup of coffee. You'll also find Dean & Deluca cafés in the trendy Paramount Hotel among other spots---and of course at their main store in SoHo.
