THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Del Buongustaio Restaurant Review: A satisfying local osteria, Del Buongustaio meanders throughout Italy for its inspiration, with some of the dishes genuinely researched from the Renaissance. The cooking is good, with interesting pastas appearing, such as sheets enclosing a light, creamy spinach, rocket and cheese mixture served with a tomato and basil sauce. Main courses run the gamut from lamb to veal, sea bass to calf's liver cooked classically with butter, sage and Marsala. Desserts might include a panna cotta with pine nuts and red berries, and ice. Eleven dessert wines by the glass exemplify the careful and authentic approach of the restaurant. And it all appears in a pleasant, light dining room where the staff is anxious to please. Set 2-course meal £18, 3 courses £21.
