THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED DeLand Artisan Inn Restaurant Review: Built as a hotel in 1924, this landmark was reduced to flophouse status before it underwent a tear-down restoration into a chic boutique hotel. Now it's a popular dining and quaffing place in downtown DeLand, a small college town known for its main street antique shops and galleries. Make a meal from hot appetizers or the Pittsburgh steak salad. The fettuccine with crawfish, chicken and gator is an adventure, or try such chef's specialties as pastas, pork osso buco, pastry-wrapped filet mignon or Champagne-roasted mahi and shrimp. Homemade desserts are different each day.
