THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Delicious Cafe Restaurant Review:

Commissioned by architect Frank Gehry to feed his staff and other Playa Vista creative types, this tiny outdoor café features a powder blue facade and roomy patio. At Gehry’s request, the café is overseen by caterer Lisa Field. Her fresh, healthy offerings include a velvety barbecued beef brisket sandwich with horseradish sauce, grilled mirin-glazed salmon on cabbage slaw, spicy peanut lo mein with charred green beans, and a Thanksgiving-on-a-bun turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo. A dry erase board touts seasonal specials, and Asakuma sushi is delivered fresh every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. To drink, expect coffee and an array of fresh fruit smoothies. On the sweet side, pastry baskets hold cookies, brownies, miniature pies and more.
