THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Delmonico's Seafood Grille Restaurant Review:

Young and dynamic Susan Moon finally decided that one restaurant was just not enough, after selling her second location in Encino. So here she is again, with a new restaurant in yet another valley! Located in the chic Paseo Colorado, the brand new Delmonico's features a bar, a patio with a beautiful view of the San Gabriel mountains, two dining rooms and the famous mahogany booths we love for private conversations. Some good reasons to go there---besides the food and service, of course---are: the Happy Hour (from 9pm to midnight); discounts on wines by the glass, as well as some appetizers; the live jazz night on Thursdays; and the complimentary wine tasting on the first Thursday of each month. As for the food, the same formula as the West Los Angeles location applies here: oyster bar (oysters, clams, mussels), soups, salads, pastas, a long selection of seafood platters, steaks and some house specialties (osso buco, veal medallions, Alaskan King crab legs). From that lengthy list, we like the lobster and corn ravioli in Chanterelle sauce, the halibut or Pacific swordfish, both grilled, the pan sautéed soft shell crab or the sea scallops. The ribeye steak is also a good choice, as is the rack of lamb or the Sicilian herb-roasted chicken. Don't leave without trying some of the house-made desserts: we recommend the chocolate pecan pie, the excellent warm bread pudding with caramel sauce, the tiramisu or the warm apple pie.
