Denny's Restaurant Review: Denny's opened in 1953 as Danny's Donuts. After expanding the menu to include sandwiches and entrées and launching more locations, founder Harold Butler renamed the then 20-restaurant chain Denny's. With nearly 1,600 outposts around the world, this seemingly ubiquitous brand offers a laundry list of diner food for any time of day --- since it’s open 24 hours --- and for any member of the family, from kids to seniors.
