THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Denver Buffalo Company Restaurant Review:
This is where Denverites bring their out-of-town guests for a taste of the Old West. The enormous bronze buffalo just outside the front door of the Denver Buffalo Company---restaurant, deli, art gallery and trading post---lets you know youve arrived. Specialties here are buffalo tenderloin filet, rib-eye, short ribs, burgers and stir-fry with spicy hoisin and black bean sauce. Some people order the salad, chicken or chops, but I wouldnt. Stick with the buffalo. At lunch, the place is packed with downtown business-types wolfing down huge saddle bag sandwiches, buffalo burgers with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms, and, for vegetarians, bluffalo sandwiches. Service is friendly and efficient. Evenings, locals come to linger and shop in the trading post for Native American artifacts, buffalo-hair blankets, sterling silver jewelry or stop in the art gallery to see whats on the walls. Weekends, check to see if local diva Lannie Garrett is performing. Patsy Decline, her tongue-in-cheek spoof of Patsy Cline and the 50s country music scene, is well worth seeing.
