Derek’s Restaurant Review

: This wine-friendly bistro spotlights a menu of sophisticated comfort food offered via small plates and large plates. Chef-owner Derek Davis places the emphasis on sustainable and seasonal ingredients with dishes such as lobster bisque with a petite crab cake and chive, and a multitude of salads including a candied beet version with homemade ricotta and pistachio caramel. Don’t miss the braised pork shoulder with sweet corn basil grits, or the bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado wrap with hand-cut fries. There is always a three-course lunch and a three-course dinner, with the wine list half off on Sundays. Or you can BYO one bottle per two people, without a corkage fee.
