This wine-friendly bistro spotlights a small- and large-plate menu of sophisticated comfort food. Chef-owner Derek Davis places the emphasis on sustainable and seasonal ingredients with dishes such as lobster bisque with a petite crab cake and chive and a multitude of salads, including a baked Lancaster goat cheese salad with arugula and sour cherry tapenade. Don’t miss the braised pork shoulder with sweet corn basil grits, or try the grilled-shrimp burrito topped with avocado salsa and cilantro. Well priced small plates are fun to share. There is always a three-course lunch and a three-course dinner, with the wine list half off on Sundays. Or you can BYO one bottle per two people, without a corkage fee.
