Dick’s Last Resort Restaurant Review

: Leave your inhibitions at Dick’s door and enjoy the food, drink and spirited service. Waitstaff’s barbs and the toque-shaped paper hats with quirky blurbs written to order for each guest to wear are all part of the entertainment. The centerpiece of the 185-seat dining area is a lively bar offering 16 draft beers, along with a wide choice of wines and liquor. The daiquiri station features nine signature concoctions. The restaurant’s brick walls are adorned with an array of neon signs, among other paraphernalia that includes a bicycle, a fire hydrant and musical instruments. TV screens abound. Dick’s specialties include salads such as Buffalo chicken with mixed greens, tortilla chips, blue cheese, pico de gallo and ranch dressing; Asian-style marinated salmon drizzled with wasabi cream sauce; half-pound burgers with fries and a variety of optional toppings; and house-smoked ribs and chicken, including Bubba Dick’s barbecue pork ribs. We like the grilled chicken breasts --- two grilled "chicky" breasts served with rice and a vegetable medley --- and the mile-high peanut butter pie. Reservations are accepted for parties of 12 or more.
