Din Tai Fung Restaurant Review: This celebrated Taiwanese chain claims to use special flour and secret techniques to make killer dumplings. And they’re pretty good at it. Go for the signature xiaolongbao (soup pork buns) and the decidedly addictive mini sweet red bean dumplings. Come here in the daytime as the natural light brings out the best in this busy and elegant dining hall. Children can make their own dumplings in a special play area. Rack up the bamboo baskets of savories and finish off with a mountain of sweetened shaved ice---try the red bean---covered in condensed milk, a Taiwanese specialty.
