Cuisine: Contemporary
There is a small bar as you enter, and one large dining room with seating on either side of the room. With brick walls and a hardwood floor, it’s very pleasant overall. The noise level is low, the comfort is high. The food is contemporary American and it comes off quite nicely. Flavors abound and there is a sensibility here, as in no piling on of ingredients. Most dishes make do with two or three ingredients that are in perfect harmony. Try the excellent lobster corn chowder and the grilled pork chop nicely mated with homemade spätzle and sweet red cabbage. Limited wine list considering the depth of the food. I hope Mr. Kelly looks at his menu (and the competition) to come up with something more approachable. Prices need to be trimmed and service needs to be polished. Once that is taken care of, Dkelly has a shot at it.
Openings: Lunch Mon.-Fri., Dinner Mon.-Sat.
