| This Gaithersburg pub distributes its own brews and pumps out big sandwiches, salads, pizzas and more. Try the crispy andouille Cajun egg rolls as appetizers; the chef includes spicy sausage that plays off a smoothly captivating dipping sauce. Some of the best buddies for those house brews are the hefty sandwiches, including the bacon-cheddar burger and the unusual grilled chicken-and-shrimp club sandwich. Pizzas include a few offbeat pies such as the Chesapeake with crab meat, and the Happy Non-Conformist, a create-your-own pie that may involve asparagus, mushrooms, grilled chicken and caramelized onions. Seafood and pasta dishes are the main players among the entrées. Desserts are as American as apple pie and ice cream. |
