Don Felix Restaurant Review:

The cooking of Peru --- from the coastal regions to the Andes high country --- is incredibly diverse, borrowing from the cuisines of Spain, Italy, China and Japan. This more spacious branch of the bare-bones Hollywood Don Felix is a good place to sample it. Specialties include an array of ceviche, fresh and vibrant with plenty of spices and citrus, and a bevy of seafood. Ocopa (an appetizer of potato and eggs with an addictive walnut sauce) and papas huancainas (potatoes and red snapper) are considered specialties, while entrées like fried chicken, beef teriyaki, sautéed shrimp and stewed fish are served on steamed white rice or with french fries. Wine and beer are available, but it's also worth trying a glass of the chicha morada, Peru’s famous punch tinted with purple corn.
