Don Jorge's Restaurant Restaurant Review:

In the old town of Gaithersburg is this Tex-Mex and Latin American restaurant with formal décor and outdoor seating. While the extensive menu includes some non-Latin treats, such as Buffalo wings, the small kitchen shows diversity, turning out dishes from El Salvador, Cuba, Portugal, Peru, Brazil and Argentina. For diners unfamiliar with some of the offerings, burritos, chiles rellenos and tacos can fill the bill. Tortilla soup and a better-than-average nachos plate are good starters. Tres leches cake and even cajeta (dulce de leche) are among the desserts. Instead of wine, expect a good choice of Latin soft drinks, beers and cocktails. Although it’s off the beaten path of Route 355, Don Jorge's is worth the trip.
