Every day is St. Patty's Day at this longtime fixture at the crossroads of Front and South Streets, a drinking and dining saloon that caters to groups of visitors and the after-work crowd. An authentic Irish bar you can belly up to, it has sparkling brass and dark wood, faux Tiffany lamps, flower patterned booths, and lots of plants---and that's only the first floor. Sun streams into the enclosed porch, an ideal perch for people-watching. There's a raw bar along with typical bar offerings like wings and potato skins. Some Irish specialties include corned beef and cabbage or shepherd's pie, but if you don't want such hearty fare, there's the ubiquitous Caesar salad, a few Italian chicken preparations or grilled tuna to fall back on. Finish up with Irish coffee and the famous Irish whiskey cake.
