Once the cavernous home of the Ritz Chinese restaurant with its mega-watt lunch buffet, this restaurant has changed hands so often since that we've lost track. A new owner brings a new name and face to this eatery in Eden Center, and we are glad to find that pure Hong Kong-style cooking---look at the fish tanks lining the back wall---has found such a home. Too bad the crowds don't swarm here, but apparently lunchtimes are super busy. Not so at night, when the dark corners of Eden Center may keep patrons at bay. The menu---written in English, Chinese and Vietnamese---offers a number of dishes that Westerners might discover, including marinated beef stomach or marinated beef tongue. But rest assured, there's plenty for every palate. We loved the wonton noodle soup, Hong Kong-style, and applauded management's decision to feature crispy duck with taro paste, a complicated and labor-intensive dish that seldom shows up at other Chinese restaurants. We also eyed the lengthy listing of congee variations and took note of such familiar offerings as orange beef and General Tso's chicken---these must be aimed at the Western audience who drop in.
