THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dragonfly Restaurant Review:

After proving to the world that, believe it or not, a high-concept supper club could still flourish in San Francisco's ravaged post-dot economy, chef Rob Lam moved southward to open up this sexy Vietnamese venture. Even though Dragonfly's cuisine is much closer to Asian than fusion, Lam still has plenty of opportunities to showcase the colorful California flair that won so many fans during his South of Market days. Items such as the abalone and lotus stem salad are ambitious indeed, but standbys such as the grilled shrimp sticks and glass noodle soup are ultimately a lot more satisfying. We were particularly impressed by the vegetarian offerings: grilled asparagus, crispy tofu and wonderfully crunchy green papaya salad.
