THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dusty's Restaurant Review:

A favorite with Silver Lake locals as well as folks from nearby Echo Park, this French-inspired café offers an airy interior decorated with tasteful fabrics, comfortable couches and booths, lamps inspired by the Baroque era, and a mahogany bar. But somehow Dusty's is not at all self-consciously trendy so much as it is warmly welcoming. The menu is filled with Francophile favorites like Provençal crêpes, croque monsieur, Lorraine or Florentine omelets, and a salad of warm potatoes and smoked salmon. We like the light spinach and goat cheese crêpe, which shares the plate with a generous salad of organic greens. Also tasty is the Kobe-style beef burger with sweet potato fries, and the generously sized crab cake. The menu comes by its pedigree naturally. Owner Maria Miller hails from Montréal, and chef Walter Vilquin is already familiar through stints at Pastis, Brasserie des Artistes, Café Stella, Café des Artistes and Mimosa.
