Like its sister locations in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, this downtown Santa Ana restaurant is cozy and unpretentious. Unlike the other two spots, this outpost connects to the slight metropolitan vibe that's permeated the area since the modern food scene rolled in. It also differs because it serves up craft cocktails to go along with the menu of forward-thinking diner food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner classics are offered --- think pancakes, burgers and sandwiches --- but they share billing with plates of intriguing fare like warm curry chicken salad, ancho and coffee-crusted petite filet and BBQ duck enchiladas.
