THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Eden Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: A slate gray building with black awnings in the warehouse-heavy West Loop is a contradiction to what guests will find inside: a clean, modern oasis in black, white and palm green. Plants soften the industrial touches of exposed brick, black metal chairs and soaring ceilings. A chef's counter is available. Its off-the-beaten-path location doesn’t deter destination diners from visiting even on weekday nights. Girlfriend groups and couples on dates are there to enjoy the chill vibe and artful plates.

Likes: Greenhouse-to-table flourishes.
Dislikes: None.

Food & Drinks: The husband/wife duo of founder Jodi Fyfe and head chef/partner Devon Quinn, former sous chef at The Lobby at The Peninsula Chicago, bring seasonal, creative fare in New American style. Quinn plucks some of his herbs and garnishes straight from the greenhouse that he built with his father onsite, a repository that supplies produce year-round. Open with earthy lamb-beef meatballs, richened by fava beans, tahini, alliums, preserved lemon and herbs. Grilled asparagus sounds more modest than it is; creamy burrata adds decadence, while puffed rice lends crunch. Red crab Vesuvio mingles with English peas, asparagus, mint, peppadew peppers, basil and pasta for a classic summer dish, a nice complement to the vodka- and rosé-spiked frosé. A hunky lamb shank falls off the bone. Finish with matcha and white chocolate semifreddo arranged in swirls of caramelized white chocolate with matcha, black sesame gel, matcha cake, calamansi gel and brûléed grapefruit segments. The restaurant curates a list of global wine from France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and beyond; try the 2016 Dürnberg Grüner Veltliner for a crisp, refreshing sip to enhance the produce.
