Egg Restaurant Review: Egg is possibly one of the most inspired breakfast and brunch-all-day spots in Brooklyn. Take a look at the menu and you’ll wish you could consume multiple meals: it’s separated into “breakfast” (which is served all day) and “lunch” (served after 11:30 a.m. on weekdays and after 3 p.m. on weekends). On the breakfast side, eggs Rothko is a cheddar-topped thick slice of Amy’s brioche stuffed with an easy cooked egg; biscuits and gravy gets an extra layer of goodness with pan-seared mushrooms. Even more satisfying is the duck sandwich (on the lunch side): seared duck breast on a crunchy baguette dripping with duck pâté and mustard. We also recommend the cornmeal-encrusted fried oyster sandwich. |
