Eight Over Eight Restaurant Review:

Chelsea’s fashionable types patronize this relaxed, smart and definitely trendy restaurant. Owner Will Ricker exported his winning fusion formula from E&O in Notting Hill to Chelsea and the former Man in the Moon pub. The décor is chic dark wood with wrought iron screens; there’s a bar at the front and restaurant behind. The menu offers dishes that tempt you to share and surf the East with dim sum from China, sushi from Japan, Thai curries and specials that mix the cultures. Try soft-shell crab tempura with jalapeño, chilli tofu with po choi, or the ever-popular black cod with sweet miso. Staff is both friendly and helpful, which in this somewhat pretentious part of London is very welcome. Overall it is great fun, though watch as those sharing plates can push up the bill. Afterwards, repair to the bar.
