This national chain manages to create a neighborly feeling in all its locations. The bagels are pretty good, too, whether dotted with jalapeños or swirled with cinnamon and raisins. Breakfast brings four styles of scrambled eggs or a goodly reduced-fat shmear to top those bagels, while lunch expands on the theme by adding an array of salads and challah, tortilla-wrapped or sourdough-baguette sandwiches to a roster of well-stuffed bagels.
