| Decorated with vibrant murals and featuring Jerry's and Bob's (of the Grateful Dead) specialty burritos, El Balazo, which features Mexican and Central American food, is just right for the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. Fillings such as Mexican goat cheese, nopales cactus and sautéed rock shrimps bring the offerings up a notch from the cheap burrito circuit. No animal fat is used at El Balazo in the tortillas or vegetarian dishes. Add an excellent salsa bar, plus an extensive soda, agua fresca and Central American beer selection and set it all in two attractive dining rooms and you've got one great burrito joint. |
