THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED El Hijo del Granjero Restaurant Review:
The name translates loosely as The Pantry Of The Grocer, and that makes sense when you discover that Bob Arranaga, the owner of this popular stand at the venerable Original Farmers Market, has been in the wholesale restaurant supply business catering specifically to Latin American restaurants since 1957. Stop by for fresh Mexican huevos rancheros at breakfast, or charbroiled seafood grills at lunch or dinner. Make sure to order the pico de gallo (fresh salsa) and gaucamole combo or gaucamole and radishes with your meal. The menu includes the usual burritos, tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas with unique salsas from various Mexican regions, and the people-watching at the Market has never been better.
