Electric Diner Restaurant Review:

A long room with red leather booths, brick and concrete walls and an open kitchen on one side is the canny Soho House group’s take on an American diner, this one attached to a cinema, and it works very well. There’s a buzz to the place that fits in with a wide-ranging menu of classic American dishes, tempered with French influences. Breakfast kicks off the day for the Notting Hillbillies who fill the place from early to late. All through the day try the likes of cheese toasties, smoked pork belly with rich barbecue sauce or salads to start. Mains of macaroni and cheese, crab cake with rémoulade or crispy duck leg with lentils continue to satisfy before you see a movie, particularly if you really indulge and go for the “knickerbocker glory” to round off the meal. There’s a sizeable range of cocktails, wine and beers and a healthy children’s menu, which is a rarity in London. Prices are reasonable; staff is welcoming.
