THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Electric Lotus Restaurant Review

: You may not associate their name with serious Indian cooking but that’s just what you’ll find at this spot previously housing Red Banana. Their very vegetarian-friendly menu does include quite a few poultry and seafood dishes but would be absolute nirvana to those who eschew flesh. As an added perk, this restaurant puts a fresh twist on those more obscure plants rarely utilized outside of Indian cuisine. Start with samosas, pastry pockets stuffed with vegetables, or chicken pakoras, chicken tempura Indian-style. Aloo gobi, comprised of cauliflower and potatoes cooked in turmeric and cumin, or palek paneer, spinach and tofu cooked with spices will continue in the veggie vein, but you might be tempted to try the chicken tikka masala, the breast here prepared in a clay oven with curry and spices.
