eleven14 Kitchen Restaurant Review: Well-heeled locavores feel right at home at this restaurant with its open and airy interior comprised of glass and warm wood tones. Couple that with the seasonal New American cuisine that emphasizes the best yields of local farms and gardens. There is a menu for every meal of the day, as well as one for weekend brunch and for children. Appetizers range from Prime Creekstone Farms beef tartare topped with a quail egg, flavored with hot mustard aïoli, to pan-seared Hudson Valley foie gras served with quince chutney and vegetable chips, smooth and pungent. Pasta dishes include flat noodles tossed with Maine lobster and tarragon that brings out the essence of the butter sauce and the crustacean meat. Crunchy and tasty organic chicken with lemon garlic and grilled whole black bass with preserved lemon and vegetables vinaigrette are well-executed with a harmonious balance of flavors. The wine list features predominantly American, Italian and French bottles, while wines by the glass are mostly from California wineries.
