THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED EM Bistro Restaurant Review:

A ray of white light---in the form of white walls, white chairs and winsome white bubble chandeliers---descends upon the former home of dark club/restaurant Atlantic. EM clings to only one remnant of its previous incarnation: the clubby vibe. The menu of American comfort food with contemporary twists appeals to conservative and adventuresome diners alike. As any bistro boasting nightlife should (jazz performances are a part of the experience), EM offers an enticing bar menu, including what we've found to be addictively crunchy, freshly made potato chips with crème fraîche and onion, and a very serious NY chop burger. As for the dining room, standouts include rotisserie items like pan-seared rainbow trout with salsa verde and port-braised beef short ribs. The dessert menu is a highlight, featuring old favorites like brown butter plum tart, clementine pound cake and strawberry shortcake, but with jazzy modern accents.
