THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Emperor's Palace Restaurant Review:
The lights burn far too brightly, and the wide-screen television playing on one side of the otherwise comfortable dining room annoys mightily, but few places in inland North County serve Chinese fare of this caliber. There usually are a few daily specialties, but selections from the regular menu are enticing enough, especially such treats as the shredded pork in brown sauce with a tasty onion cake, the dry-braised scallops in hot-sour sauce, and the seafood festival, which simmers a variety of shellfish in an unusual wine sauce. Vegetables are especially well prepared, and guests who think they dont like spinach may swoon over the sauteed version served here.
